Our History

CRAFTSMANSHIP, KNOWLEDGE AND JUDGMENT SINCE 1981

CRESBER was born from a specific way of understanding jewelry: as a craft learned over time, solidified with experience, and exercised with discernment.

Since 1981, in Cordoba, the house has developed its activity from the workshop, cultivating a direct relationship with the material, the process, and the real function of each piece of jewelry.

The history of CRESBER is not built on grandiose gestures, but on daily practice, accumulated knowledge, and a consistent way of doing things well.

The Origin of CRESBER

The history of CRESBER begins in 1981, in Córdoba, with the founding of CREACIONES ESPALIÚ BERDUD S.A., driven by Antonio Espaliú Ferreirós, one of the most prominent professionals in the Cordoban jewelry industry of his generation.

From its inception, the company was born with a clear vocation: to create well-crafted jewelry, technically sound and designed to accompany the wearer over time.
The workshop was established as the core of the activity, understood not only as a production space but as a place where knowledge is practiced, transmitted, and perfected with years of craftsmanship.

The working method defined in those early years laid the foundations for a jewelry house with its own identity, based on technical judgment, respect for materials, and attention to detail.

 Growth and recognition

During the 80s and 90s, CRESBER experienced a period of growth marked by the development of its own collections and a progressive consolidation within the national jewelry sector.

A particularly significant moment came with winning the First Prize “Córdoba Ciudad de Plateros” at JOYACOR 1991, an acknowledgment that publicly endorsed the work done by the house and its contribution to Cordovan jewelry.

A house linked to Córdoba

CRESBER is an active part of the jewelry tradition of Cordoba, a city historically linked to goldsmithing, silversmithing, and precious metal work.

The relationship with Cordoba is not only geographical, but also cultural and professional. Belonging to a demanding jewelry environment has, from the beginning, shaped the company's way of working and its commitment to the craft.

Appearances in specialized press, institutional recognition, and official visits reflect the place CRESBER has occupied within Cordoba's jewelry ecosystem over time.

CRESBER is the result of a true continuity of knowledge and craftsmanship.

After its founding in 1981 by Antonio Espaliú, the company was taken over by the next generation, who consolidated the workshop, expanded the production structure, and strengthened the firm's presence in the jewelry sector.

Today, his grandchildren continue to lead CRESBER, maintaining a direct relationship with the workshop and with the processes that have historically defined the company.

This generational transmission is not a symbolic inheritance, but rather the practice of the craft, prolonged learning, and respect for a way of working built over more than four decades.

CRESBER Today

Today, CRESBER continues to develop handmade jewelry in Cordoba, led by the third generation of the family, maintaining careful production and a direct relationship with each phase of the creation process.

The house combines the experience accumulated since 1981 with a contemporary vision of jewelry: clear, honest, and far from the superfluous.
Each piece reflects a way of working based on time, knowledge, and respect for the jeweler's craft.
