01 • About CRESBER

About CRESBER and our workshop

Who is CRESBER?

CRESBER is a jewelry house founded in Córdoba in 1981. Three generations of the Espaliú family have been making gold jewelry for almost half a century in our own workshop in Parque Joyero. We are not intermediaries: we design, set, and finish each piece ourselves.

Our model is based on something almost no one does anymore: the customer can see the workshop where their jewelry is made. This transparency is our way of understanding the craft.

Why do you make the jewelry yourselves?

Because it's the only way to guarantee what we sell. When a jewelry store buys from a wholesaler, it depends on processes and materials it doesn't control. We know every ring from the ingot to the box.

This allows us three things: prices without intermediary markups, verifiable real quality, and the ability to customize any piece, from a size change to a design from scratch.

How much experience do you have?

More than 44 years working in the jewelry sector in Cordoba. We started in 1981 as a family workshop, and today we are three generations united in the same craft. We have made everything from wedding bands for thousands of weddings to unique pieces that have been passed down from parents to children. Learn more about our history here.

In jewelry, experience is not a slogan: it's what your hand feels when you hold a well-made piece.

Are you a jewelry store or a workshop?

Both, and in the same space. At CRESBER, customers enter the sales area and, through a glass partition, can see the workshop where items are currently being made.

It's not decoration: it's the actual workshop. This sets us apart from jewelry stores that display pieces but have no idea how they're made.

Do you have your own gemologist?

Yes. Fernando Espaliú Berdud is our certified gemologist and personally handles the selection of diamonds and colored stones, as well as official appraisals. This means that when we recommend a stone, there is real technical criteria behind it, not commercial.

If you have an antique piece of jewelry or want to appraise an item, you can request a valuation by calling us at 957 76 40 52, writing to us on WhatsApp, or visiting the atelier.

02 • Where are we

Where we are and how to get there

Where is CRESBER?

We are in the Córdoba Jewelry Park, Factory nº 12. The Jewelry Park is the industrial estate dedicated to the jewelry sector in Córdoba, where a large part of the jewelry sold throughout Spain is manufactured.

Our full address is Córdoba Jewelry Park, Factory nº 12, Córdoba. You can see how to get there on Google Maps.

What are your hours?

We are open Monday to Friday, from 7:00 to 15:00. If you need to come outside these hours, call us at 957 76 40 52 or write to us on WhatsApp and we'll see how to fit it in.

We are closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. In August, we may have reduced hours due to workshop holidays; we recommend confirming before visiting.

Do I need an appointment to visit?

It's not mandatory, but we always prefer that you call us at 957 76 40 52 or write to us via WhatsApp before coming to confirm that we can attend to you as you deserve.

This allows us to have everything prepared for when you arrive, dedicate the time you need without waiting, and, if you are coming for something specific (engagement ring, wedding bands, a particular piece), have it ready for you to see.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes. Parque Joyero has free street parking and common areas. You will not have trouble parking at any time of day, even on the busiest days.

03 • Commitment and partnerships

Engagement rings and wedding bands

How much does an engagement ring cost?

The price of an engagement ring depends on the diamond (weight, color, clarity, and cut) and the gold (grams and karats). To give you an idea, at CRESBER we offer engagement rings starting from approximately [€800-€1,000] up to high-jewelry pieces worth [several thousand euros]; you can see them on our engagement jewelry page.

The most helpful way to get an accurate idea is to tell us what you envision and what your budget is. Without obligation, we can show you the real options you have within that range. You can do this by calling us at 957 76 40 52, via WhatsApp, or by visiting the atelier.

How long does a custom engagement ring take?

If we custom-make it, manufacturing takes between [3 and 5 weeks] from the moment we decide on the design and diamond. If you need something urgent (a proposal in a few days), we have models available that we can adjust to your size in [a few days].

The important thing is to let us know in advance if you have a specific date. The sooner we start, the more time we have to make a perfect piece without rushing.

What type of diamond should I choose for an engagement ring?

The four factors that define a diamond are known as the 4Cs: carat, color, clarity, and cut. At CRESBER, our gemologist will explain each factor and its importance in the final result.

As a quick guide: for an everyday engagement ring, we recommend prioritizing cut (it's what most affects brilliance) and color (D-G appears transparent). The carat weight depends on your budget and the design you choose. We will help you find the balance that makes sense for your specific case.

Do you work with custom wedding bands?

Yes, wedding bands are one of our specialties. We work with both catalog models that can be adjusted to any size in a few days, and custom-made wedding bands with engravings, special widths, mixed gold, or settings.

The best recommendation is for both of you to come to the atelier together. You will try out finishes, widths, and shapes until you find the design that suits you. If you live outside of Cordoba, we also offer assistance via WhatsApp.

When should I order my wedding rings?

Ideally, order them at least 2 months before the wedding. This gives us time to manufacture without rush, make size adjustments if necessary, and deliver them on time.

If you have less time, let us know: often, we can expedite manufacturing or adapt a catalog model. But the advice, if you can, is not to leave it to the last minute.

Can I engrave the wedding rings?

Yes. Interior engraving is included in our wedding bands and we can personalize it with names, dates, a short phrase, or a symbol. We also do special engravings (handwritten, fingerprint, voice waves) upon request.

We will decide on it with you at the time of order. If you have an engraving idea, bring it already thought out, or we can work on it together in the workshop.

04 • Bespoke jewelry

Bespoke jewelry and customization

How does custom jewelry work?

The process has four phases:

1 · Initial conversation: you tell us what you envision, what the piece is for, and your budget. This can be done via WhatsApp or at the workshop.

2 · Sketch and quote: we show you one or more proposed designs with a fixed quote. We make any adjustments you need until it's perfect.

3 · Manufacturing: once approved, we manufacture in the workshop. If you live in Cordoba, you can come and see the process.

4 · Delivery: we notify you when it's ready. Pick up at the workshop or insured home delivery.

We explain more on this page.

How long does a custom piece of jewelry take?

Between [3 and 6 weeks] depending on the complexity of the piece. A custom wedding band can be ready in 2 weeks. A piece of jewelry with complex settings, special gemstones, or handmade engravings can take 6-8 weeks.

If you have a specific date (an anniversary, a gift), please let us know at the beginning. We can almost always accommodate.

How much does a custom piece of jewelry cost?

Bespoke doesn't mean expensive. The price of a custom piece of jewelry at CRESBER depends on only three things: gold (weight and carats), gemstones (if any), and workshop labor hours.

For the same materials, a custom piece of jewelry costs the same as a catalog piece, but designed just for you. Tell us what you envision and what your budget is, and we'll tell you what real options you have.

Can I bring an old piece of jewelry to be transformed?

Yes, we do it often. Grandma's rings, inherited wedding bands, earrings you no longer wear... If the piece has gold or usable gems, we can melt it down and transform it into a new piece of jewelry for you.

It's a beautiful process because it preserves the sentimental value and the original material, but adapted to your style. If you have a piece of jewelry you want to transform, bring it to the atelier (or send us photos via WhatsApp) and we'll tell you what options you have.

Should I do the design or will you?

As you prefer. If you know exactly what you want (even with a drawing or a reference photo), we'll start from there. If you only have a vague idea ("something with emerald, for daily wear, not too bulky"), our design team will propose options, and we'll refine them together.

You don't need to know about jewelry to order custom pieces. That's what we're here for.

05 • Materials

Materials, gold, and diamonds

What kind of gold do you use in your jewelry?

We primarily work with 18-karat gold (750 thousandths), which is the standard for quality jewelry in Spain and Europe. We also make pieces in 14-karat gold (585 thousandths) when the customer prefers it due to budget or personal preference.

For very specific custom pieces, we can also work with [9k] or [22k] gold. Ask us if you are interested.

What is the difference between 18k and 14k gold?

The difference lies in the percentage of pure gold the alloy contains:

  • 18k Gold: 75% pure gold · yellower, softer, more valuable.
  • 14k Gold: 58.5% pure gold · more durable, slightly lighter color, lower cost.

18k is the classic choice for fine jewelry and wedding bands. 14k is a good option if you are looking for something more resistant to daily wear or if you have a tighter budget. Neither is "better" absolutely: it depends on the use and personal preference.

Do you work with white, yellow, and rose gold?

Yes, all three. All three variants start from the same pure gold and differ in the alloy added to them:

  • Yellow gold: alloy with copper and silver. The classic color.
  • White gold: alloy with palladium or nickel + rhodium plating.
  • Rose gold: alloy with a higher proportion of copper. Warm color.

We can make your piece in any of the three, or combine them in the same jewel.

Are your diamonds natural or lab-grown?

We primarily work with natural diamonds, certified by international laboratories (GIA, HRD, or IGI depending on the piece). If you are explicitly interested in a lab-grown diamond, we can also source and set it, clearly explaining the differences.

Our gemologist will help you understand which option makes the most sense for your needs, without any sales pressure.

What guarantee do I have that the diamond is real?

Each diamond of [X] carats and above comes with its official gemological certificate from the laboratory that analyzed it (GIA, HRD, or IGI). This document includes exact weight, color, clarity, cut, measurements, and distinctive characteristics.

For small diamonds and colored stones, we work with trusted suppliers with certificates of origin. If you have any questions, you can examine everything with a jeweler's loupe in the atelier, and our gemologist will explain every detail to you.

Do you do official appraisals?

Yes. Our certified gemologist issues official appraisals valid for insurance, inheritances, or sales. The service includes a technical analysis of the piece, a signed written valuation, and a certificate.

This service works for jewelry you have purchased at CRESBER or anywhere else. Ask us for a quote via WhatsApp, indicating what type of piece it is

Can I return a piece of jewelry if I don't like it?

Yes. Studio pickup is free, and we can deliver the item to you personally. If you are coming from outside Cordoba, please let us know so we can have everything ready and dedicate the necessary time to you.

This is the option we recommend for custom and high-value pieces: you can see it calmly, try it on, and resolve any doubts before taking it with you.

Who pays for return shipping?

Once we receive the item and verify its condition, the refund will be processed within [5-10 business days] using the same payment method you used.

What is the warranty on your jewelry?

All our jewelry has a [2-year] warranty against manufacturing defects. This covers issues with soldering, settings that loosen without cause, or any manufacturing flaw.

It does not cover: impacts, deformations, loss of stones due to misuse, or normal wear and tear of rhodium on white gold (which is renewed periodically). For these cases, we offer maintenance service at cost price.

Do you do repairs and maintenance?

Yes, we repair and maintain our own jewelry, provided it was purchased from CRESBER. The most common services are:

  • Ring resizing
  • Chain re-soldering
  • White gold rhodium plating renewal
  • Professional cleaning and polishing
  • Setting and stone replacement
